Michael MacLean

Michael MacLean has more than 30 years of financial leadership experience and has been a key player in strategy and operations for high-growth companies. He currently serves as chief financial officer and chief business officer of Avidity Biosciences. Prior to Avidity, Michael held chief financial officer roles at Akcea Therapeutics and PureTech Health. Previously, he led Biogen’s worldwide finance operations. Michael is a former certified public accountant who practiced accounting for more than 18 years, during which time he served as a partner of Arthur Andersen LLP and KPMG International Limited.
Michael holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College.
