The Position

Verve is seeking a Translational/Bioanalytical Scientist with experience in bioanalysis of proteins and oligonucleotides. The person in this role will take the lead in implementing or developing analytical methods for the measurement of biomarkers (cytokines, proteins, antibodies) in a variety of physiological specimen. You will be responsible for the analysis of samples from preclinical studies by applying your broad background in ELISAs. Furthermore, you will work with our CROs on the transfer and validation of quantitative methods for IND-enabling and clinical studies. Verve Therapeutics develops therapies for precise genetic editing in vivo. This requires the absolute quantitation of RNA that is administered as part of lipid nanoparticles. The ideal candidate will have experience in the analysis of oligonucleotides using qRT-PCR and is interested in exploring novel approaches to the absolute measurement of RNA. The scientist in this position will be part of an integrated R&D project team that aims to advance a preclinical gene editing candidate and project its efficacy in patients. This is a hands-on role with a great degree of independence. Candidates should have earned a degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacy or related area and should have multiple years of experience in a biotech laboratory setting.
