The Position

 Verve is seeking a motivated individual with experience in CRISPR-Cas9 based gene editing technologies, with a particular emphasis on off-target gene editing outcomes. The key responsibilities are as follows:

    • Design, develop and execute molecular and cell-based assays to advance our lead development program:
        • Use enzymatic/PCR based methods (RT-PCR, qRT-PCR, standard, etc) to assess gene editing outcomes using next generation sequencing
        • Develop techniques in-house that are currently being utilized by the field
        • Compile and present results to functional teams
    • Select and manage contract research organizations (CROs) to support lead program(s)
    • Propose and implement new techniques for off-target gene editing analysis as they are developed
    • Candidates with experience in primary cell culture work and next generation sequencing are preferred
